'Supergirl' season 2 spoilers: Flashpoint merges superhero's world with Flarrowverse?

Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) will fly to The CW for season 2, where she will be officially merged in the world of The Flash (Grant Gustin), Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and the Waverider crew.

How that will be pulled off remains a mystery, but a report by Bleeding Cool News suggests that will have something to do with Flashpoint.

According to the site, Supergirl's universe will be merged with Flarrowverse in "Supergirl" season 2 and it's all because of Barry's decision to change the past.

The site added that Barry is the only one who knows that Supergirl was from a completely different dimension. For those who forgot, the speedster appeared in the first season of the show.

As for the continuity issues that will arise through this, Bleeding Cool says it will simply be explained as the result of a time traveler messing with the timeline.

During the "Supergirl" season 2 run, fans can expect the titular character to hang out with the Flarrowverse heroes.

In fact, Amell teased a crossover of "Arrow," "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow" and "Supergirl" by sharing a photo featuring the boots of the titular heroes with Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ray (Brandon Routh).

If Supergirl's entrance to The CW scene will be done in such manner, it will be interesting to see if there will be more possibilities of Supergirl crossing over with the Flashpoint arc not meant to last the whole season 3 of "The Flash."

With Barry expected to undo the changes that rose from his decision to change the past (and if he ends up being successful in bringing things back to the way they left them), Sit is unclear what it means for Supergirl crossovers.

"Supergirl" season 2 will mark the first flight of the DC Comics icon to The CW. It will also be special for fans who have been waiting for her cousin Superman to pop up as Tyler Hoechlin is bringing the Kryptonian to the small screen.

"Supergirl" season 2 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
