Executive producer Jeff Davis previously mentioned that the upcoming season will see more of Stiles (Dylan O' Brien) and Lydia's (Holland Roden) budding relationship. However, O' Brien's recently sustained injuries while filming for his new movie "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure," and it turned out to be more serious than expected. Because of that, all his projects had to be pushed back in order for the young actor to recover quickly. This led fans to speculate if he will be back in time for the show or if a new actor will take his place.

In an interview with Creative 132 last month, Davis confirmed that o' Brien will definitely return as Stiles in the hit MTV series. "No, we aren't replacing Stiles," said Davis. "Dylan O'Brien will be back to film soon. he can't do any stunts and we're talking with Wes Ball, the producer of The Maze Runner, we hope to get him back on Teen Wolf to film, while being injured, but the thing is, he wants to film, he's in perfect condition. But he's just not doing fine enough to do any stunts."

One Direction member Harry Styles was rumored to replace O' Brien if he could not reprise his role. Despite Davis' confirmation, he stressed that they are still making efforts to get Styles on board. "We do want Harry Styles in our show," he added. "Like a new British boy. But we're still in talks with people, directors, agents. So we can't confirm anything yet."

As early as now, there might be viewers who are wondering how long the show will go on. Since a sixth season is already underway, is there a possible season 7 on the table? According to the EP, they will likely have another run if the show's upcoming sixth season will not be delayed this Fall.

The network has yet to announce a definitive premiere date for "Teen Wolf" season 6, but according to Davis, the show will return sometime early in the Fall.
