In July 2016, series creator Jeff Davis announced that the sixth season of the hit MTV series "Teen Wolf" will officially serve as its last.

The season 6 winter finale aired last Tuesday, Jan. 31. Titled "Riders on the Storm," season 6 episode 10 saw the defeat of a Nazi Alpha and the Ghost Riders of the Wild Hunt, and it featured the return of Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien). The episode ended with Scott (Tyler Posey) and Stiles driving off into the sunset in a scene that looks like their final on-screen goodbye.

With the first half of the season tied up quite nicely, fans are wondering if the tenth episode of this season marks the official conclusion to the storyline of "Teen Wolf." However, Davis assured its viewers that there is still plenty to look forward to in the upcoming second half of the final season of "Teen Wolf."

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the series creator revealed that the second half of "Teen Wolf" season 6 will be focusing more on Scott's journey, adjusting his life from being a teen wolf into a man-wolf. After everything he and his pack had experienced in Beacon Hills, they will have to start all over again with their new lives outside of high school.

"It's really his evolution as a character, from a naive lovestruck innocent kid to the leader of a supernatural underground, Beacon Hills. 6B is very much about Scott and his friends becoming outsiders again, becoming pariahs, and about fear of the other, fear of the outsider, which is also a reflection of our current cultural political climate," Davis explained.

Nevertheless, the majority of the second half of "Teen Wolf season 6" will still take place in Beacon Hills. The showrunner hinted that the pack will be encountering another supernatural villain, which will detain Scott and the others in Beacon Hills for much longer than they have expected. Even though Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) is now the new Alpha, Scott still feels responsible for the pack and looks after them.

"One of Scott's greatest fears is that he will never be able to leave Beacon Hills as sort of a protector of the supernatural and can he go off and have a life of his own? So we're going to explore some of that," Davis said.

The second half of "Teen Wolf" season 6 will premiere sometime this summer.
