'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 air date, plot news: Brandon Jones to guest star; portrays 'The Flash'

The 10th season of CBS Network's sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" will feature Brandon Jones in an episode. The actor will reportedly portray the fastest man alive, "The Flash."

The actor is best known for his role in "Pretty Little Liars" as Andrew Campbell and for his role in "The Fosters" as Liam Olmstead.

Mayim Bialik who portrays neurologist Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler turned to Twitter to tease Jones' involvement in the upcoming season. Bialik posted a photo of her and Jones, then captioned it with, "Thanks for your "flash"y guest spot @brandonwjones!!!"

At first, fans were hesitant to believe that "flashy" meant "The Flash." But a more recent post on Instagram provided evidence that Bialik was really referring to DC's speedster.

On Instagram, the actress posted the same photo in black and white. The caption read, "He's sweet, he's southern, and he feels comfortable in latex. Brandon Jones, we had fun having you guest star this week!"

The latex suit hint was concrete evidence that he will dress up as "The Flash" in the episode. As for the details of the episode, Bialik did not say.

Jones dressing up as a superhero would not be an unusual episode for the show. In the first season of "The Big Bang Theory," Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), and Rajesh Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) put on the speedster's costume for Halloween. The gang had donned various attires but the superhero seemed to be their favorite.

Another exciting guest star who is set to appear next season is Katey Sagal who will be portraying Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) mom. Not much is known about Penny's background or her family. This will be one of the biggest revelations the show will ever see. And someday, hopefully next season, fans will finally learn Penny's last name.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will return to CBS on Monday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m. EDT.
