Long-running sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" recently wrapped up its ninth season, and it left off with new story arcs sure to make the upcoming season 10 more interesting.

With Penny and Leonard's formal wedding ceremony plus Mary and Alfred's finale hookup, the show's storyline seems endless. Showrunner Steve Molaro previously mentioned that he does not want to approach the next season as their last, but star Kunal Nayyar has a different opinion on the show's fate. During the MCM Comic Con in London, Raj Koothrapali's portrayer Nayyar explained that he does not know what's in store after season 10. "Next season, as it stands on our contract, could be the last season of Big Bang Theory," the actor said. "To be completely honest, I know people are going to want to know what happens after season 10. I don't know what's going to happen."

Bernadette Wolowitz's portrayer Melissa Rauch was also present in the said panel, and she stated that if it was up to her, she would do the show for as long as the viewers want.

Given that "The Big Bang Theory" is currently the number one comedy series in the U.S., there have been talks about the possibility of a feature film adaptation. Nayyar seems to be open to the idea, but technical constraints might make it less likely to happen. "It is a very difficult format to do for a movie because we shoot in front of a live studio audience with four cameras," he explained. "So unless the movie was a two and half hour sitcom version of The Big Bang Theory, I don't think we could ever actually do a movie. We could do it on stage. I tell you what, we'll come here and we'll recreate the movie of The Big Bang Theory for you guys next year."

As of the moment, CBS has yet to announce an official premiere date for "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10.
