'The Young and the Restless' spoilers Sept. 19 to 23: Phyllis pregnant? Ian responsible for Adam's fake death

Exciting storylines are coming up in "The Young and the Restless" soap opera for the week of Sept. 19. However, things are going to be intense as conflicts arise.

According to spoilers, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) could end up pregnant. However, this is not going to be happy news for her and Jack (Peter Bergman) as their marriage is currently going through some major hiccups. Jack has finally learned the truth. Phyllis has been cheating on him with Billy (Jason Thompson). The revelation has greatly affected him and now it has yet to be known whether Jack will choose to stay or leave.

One thing is for sure though – Billy won't let his wife and brother get away so easily. He will exact revenge on Phyllis, Billy and even Jill (Jess Walton) . He will also include Jill because of her involvement and because she refused to tell him about the affair. But overall, Jack just wants someone to be responsible for the pain that he is feeling.

And while Jack may let go of Phyllis anytime, Phyllis is still hoping to stick with Jack. Spoilers said that she is not ready to let go of their marriage. The only key she has is to be pregnant with Jack's child, which a source suggested could happen in the series. Nothing is confirmed yet but Phyllis could get pregnant since this type of storyline is very common in soap operas.

However, if this happens, Phyllis will be having problems identifying who the baby's daddy really is. In this scenario, she will be crossing her fingers that the child isn't Billy's because that would most definitely mark the end of her marriage with Jack. A paternity mystery could play out in the upcoming episodes. And since Billy is in love with Phyllis, he could potentially stir up some trouble by tampering the paternity test results to show that he is the father.

Meanwhile, spoilers revealed that the man responsible for Adam's (Justin Hartley) disappearance after an explosion is none other than Ian (Ray Wise). He created a distraction to make everyone believe that Adam is dead. In reality, Adam is actually alive and Ian has held him captive.
