'Titanfall 2' release date, news & update: EA to launch 'Titanfall 2' on Oct. 28

Electronic Arts' second installment of the "Titanfall" franchise will launch soon, and gamers are excited to see if the video game does exceed expectations. New additions to the franchise will make "Titanfall 2" a better game than its preceding unit, but the essence of the well-loved gameplay in the first installment still perpetuates the game's sequel.

"Titanfall 2" is slated for an Oct. 28 release datefor the Xbox One, PlayStation4, and PC. The first installment was an Xbox One and PC exclusive. But with "Titanfall 2" available for the PS4, players will now get to experience what they missed all this time.

In a review by IGN, the publication lauded the game's ability to switch from pilot to titan. The multiplayer feature of the video game is still one of the highlights of the franchise. The news outlet also praised how the development team created the pilot's movement, which they described as fluid. According to IGN, pilots will be able to traverse the terrain effortlessly.

The core gameplay of the multiplayer feature is basically similar to the original "Titanfall" game, but additional features have been added to this game mode. Compared to the previous title, the second installment will be featuring action-packed gameplay. In "Titanfall 2," gamers will be able to choose from six different mech classes, from lightweight, melee-focused machines to massive machine guns. Moreover, the Titans are expected to introduce new actions.

Furthermore, gamers are expecting to have a better story-driven campaign in "Titanfall 2." According to reports, the first title of the franchise was criticized for having a dull plot. Hence, players are hoping for the best in EA's upcoming video game.
