"Uncharted 4" fans have a reason to celebrate now as Sony and Naughty Dog finally announced that it will be releasing post-launch downloadable content (DLC).

According to a report, the game will be getting a single-player DLC for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." There is no specific date yet or confirmed information but an insider at Sony said that the new stuff will be unveiled this December during PlayStation Experience.

The source also detailed that the main focus of the upcoming DLC will be on Nathan Drake's brother, Samuel, and his adventures in the "Uncharted 4" world together with Sully, a longtime cast member. Moreover, it's said that the reveal will include a gameplay segment, a combination of cut scene footage and the official title of the DLC.

Reports said that those who will be attending the unveiling will not only get to know the official details of the expansion but they will also get to go hands-on with it.

For everyone else, they will easily be able to get their hands on it once it is out. It was previously revealed that all "Uncharted 4" DLC can be unlocked in-game for free. This was intentionally done to avoid splitting up the multiplayer community.

And because the DLC is teased to be a standalone, this means that gamers can play it even if they don't have the original game with them. It will also have a self-contained story in which Nathan will be present. However, those who hoped Nathan's daughter Cassie would be present in the DLC will need better luck next time as it's said that she will not be around. There were rumors about this going around before but these are not true.

Fans will have to stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming "Uncharted 4" DLC.
