Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to download two games on Xbox One, and two games for Xbox 360 for September. The lineup will be refreshed on Thursday, Sept. 1. In the upcoming month, subscribers will be entitled to four new games, all for free.

To note, all the titles that are released for Games with Gold are playable on Xbox One consoles. Hence, players who don't own an Xbox 360 can still download and play the games on their Xbox One consoles.

Xbox One gamers will be able to download Snowcastle Games' upcoming role-playing video game "Earthlock: Festival of Magic" from the 1st to the 30th of September. The game will make its debut on the said console, totally free of cost. The game has a "Final Fantasy" vibe  but it boasts of more "painterly art" settings, according to Business Insider.

On the other hand, Climax Studios' spinoff of the "Assassin's Creed" franchise "Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China" will be available on Sept. 16. The game will be free until Oct. 15.

For Xbox 360 gamers, the Playground Games' hit racing video game "Forza Horizon" which has 300 different cars in its selection will be available for download on the first to the 15th of the month.

Meanwhile, EA Dice's action-adventure video game "Mirror's Edge" will be available from the 15th until the end of September. The title first premiered in 2010 but is still quite popular among gamers because of its unique concept. In the game, the players are put in a dystopian setting. As usual, the main character faces forces responsible for disturbing the peace in the locale.

Not all titles under Games with Gold August 2016 will be replaced soon. For instance, "WWE 2K16" will be available for download until Sept. 15.

The Xbox Live Gold membership costs $60 for 12 months. In return, subscribers have access to new games every month.
