Xbox Two release date, specs news: Next generation console to come out after Xbox One Slim?

The rumored next generation console of Microsoft dubbed as Xbox Two has been a subject of several speculations for quite some time now. According to reports, the company is allegedly gearing up on its development as they prepare to release the device next year.

Previous reports have also suggested that Microsoft is also going to develop an upgraded version of Xbox One, which will be called Xbox One slim. According to a report by Polygon, several alleged sources who are working for Microsoft revealed that the American software giant is absolutely working on a new console. The company is reportedly rushing up the development of the device with a goal to top its biggest rival in the market, Sony. In a separate report, the Japanese tech giant is also rumored to be working on an upgraded version of their popular PlayStation 4 console. Video game observers dubbed it as PlayStation 4.5 Neo or PlayStation 4K.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Xbox One slim is said to be 40 percent smaller and lighter than the current device. According to reports, it is expected to feature 4K support. The new Xbox is said to be the slimmest console in the market once it hits the shelves. There are reports suggesting that the lighter console will be introduced by Microsoft at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016 in June.

The Xbox Two is said to have a codenamed, "Scorpio." The next generation console will hit the market in 2017. Microsoft is reportedly using all of its resources to make sure the next device will meet the expectations of the players.

Rumor has it that Microsoft will use the most powerful GPU on the market today. There have been reports that the new console will have an Oculus Rift VR.

Nonetheless, the company has yet to provide details of its development, much less its release date. Fans will have to stay tuned for an announcement from Microsoft.
