Norman (Freddie Highmore) and his mother, Norma (Vera Farmiga), intend to be "together until the end" in "Bates Motel" season 5.

In the latest batch of posters for the new season, the mother and son pose lovingly into the camera only this time, the former shows no emotion or life, which is no surprise because Norma is now dead, thanks to her son.

In "Bates Motel" season 5, Norman convinces himself that his mother is still with him even after killing the poor woman himself in the previous season of the series. It turns out that their relationship cannot be broken, not even by death.

For the show's fifth and final season, fans can expect things to become full "Psycho." The show will do its own spin of Alfred Hitchcock's iconic psychological thriller from which the whole series is based.

This means that fans will meet in "Bates Motel" season 5 the show's own version of Marion Crane to be played by Barbadian singer Rihanna. Not much is known about the show's plans for the character.

Interestingly, "The Walking Dead" alum Austin Nichols was tapped to play the role of Sam Loomis in the series. According to a character description from Deadline, his character is "a mysterious and charismatic newcomer to White Pine Bay who quickly antagonizes Norman Bates when he tries to involve the Bates Motel's owner in his web of lies."

In "Psycho," Sam is actually Marion's lover and the reason she ended up in big trouble in the first place. However, since "Bates Motel" season 5 is not looking to recreate the film, things might be different.

Meanwhile, the final season of the psychological drama will also see Romero (Nestor Carbonell) hell-bent on avenging Norma's death. It will be interesting to see how he reacts learning what his stepson has planned for his mother's corpse.

"Bates Motel" season 5 premieres Monday, Feb. 20, at 10 p.m. ET on A&E.
