"Batman: Arkham VR" is taking Dark Knight gaming to the next level by allowing players to become Bruce Wayne in the most realistic way possible.

Through Virtual Reality (VR), fans are treated a more comprehensive and real-life experience of a Batman game and makes them feel like they are in Gotham. Additionally, it allows them to do a little bit more than what they can in standard games.

"Here's the technology that gives us the opportunity to finally do justice to the one part of Batman's persona that we feel like we haven't before," Rocksteady brand marketing manager Dax Ginn told GameSpot.

"We nailed combat, stealth navigation, Batmobile stuff—we've done all we could. But we wanted to go deep on detective work, crime scene investigation, and forensics. VR as a technology allows us to do that, which is why we chose to do it and why the game is so focused on that part of Batman," he continued.

"Batman: Arkham VR" allows players to do the detective work Bruce does, which previous "Batman" games did not really focus on. The game will center on solving a murder and will rely more on narrative as opposed to action.

Despite the murder mystery being the center of "Batman: Arkham VR," players can expect things to be more complicated as they go deep into the puzzle. They will encounter villains such as Penguin, Harley Quinn and Killer Croc as they get to the bottom of the crime.

In fact, Ginn said that the problem they had was choosing the right villain from a big pool of options they have. In the end, Rocksteady goes with the ones that give them the "most value" for the "Batman: Arkham VR."

Since the game is focused on Bruce and his detective side, there won't be as much fighting as opposed to other games and it will be slower in pace and more analytical in theme.

This is what ultimately sets "Batman: Arkham VR" apart from other Batman games as it explores the detective side of Bruce rather than his fighting skills.

"Batman: Arkham VR" will be released October this year.
