There are a lot of casting rumors surrounding "Deadpool 2" and they have gotten so huge one of the actresses being involved in the sequel stepped in.

A couple of weeks ago, the name of Mackenzie Davis was attached to the character of Domino in the highly-anticipated Ryan Reynolds-led superhero sequel.

For the uninitiated, the character is a mutant and a former mercenary who also worked as an agent for organizations. Domino, whose real name is Neena Thurman, had a relationship with Cable, Deadpool's frenemy and a character expected to be featured in "Deadpool 2." In the film, she is billed as the "scene-stealer."

"No! It's very interesting," Davis told GQ with a laugh. "People keep sending me printouts being like, 'This is so cool!' And I'm like, 'Right? I also think it's cool! But it's not true!'" she continued.

The "Halt and Catch Fire" star also said that although being part of "Deadpool 2" sounds great, she clarified that she "[does not] have any news to share. I wish I did!"

Rumors about the Domino casting with Davis began early this month after Jeff Sneider of Mashable claimed in a Meet the Movie Press episode that the actress will take on the role in "Deadpool 2."

Sneider also claimed that "Deadpool" director Tim Miller wants Kyle Chandler to play the role of Cable while Heroic Hollywood reported that the studio wants Liam Neeson.

Both actors have not responded to the rumors, the same for Miller and 20th Century Fox. However, fans are already responding negatively towards Chandler's rumored Cable casting in "Deadpool 2."

Fans hoped to see "Avatar" actor Stephen Lang take on the role of Cable as he had the look of the iconic character. However, Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld urged fans to trust Miller and the team on the casting.

"Kyle Chandler is one of the best actors in Hollywood. People trip over themselves to work with him," the comic book legend told NerdyPop.

"If, by chance that rumor was true and the production was lucky enough to get somebody as talented as him, I would just trust in the people that gave you Deadpool to figure that out for the best," he added.

"Deadpool 2" is expected to hit the cinemas in 2018.
