At the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Dell introduced the Latitude 7285, the world's first two-in-one laptop with wireless charging. Alongside this innovative feature, the Latitude 7285 also comes with premium specs and an impressive design that make it a worthy competitor to other hybrid devices, including the very popular Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

With the Dell Latitude 7285 two-in-one business laptop, consumers will be able to work on the go without having to deal with power cords or worrying about their device's battery life. The device comes with WiTricity magnetic resonance wireless charging technology so that users will only need to have a charging mat and the WiGig wireless dock for the two-in-one laptop to automatically charge.

When it comes to technical specifications, the Dell Latitude 7285 features a 12-inch Sharp IGZO detachable display with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,920 pixels. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top for added protection. In terms of dimensions, it is 273.2 x 208.5 x 7.8 mm and weighs 1.48 pounds. Even with the base included, the two-in-one device is still light at 2.3 pounds.

The two-in-one device can be powered by either the seventh-generation Intel Core or Core vPro processor with the Intel HD 615 Graphics. There are three available storage options: 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of solid state drive (SSD) memory. A microSD card slot also allows for expanded memory. For users who need an extra layer of security, the device is also available with 256 GB of self-encrypting drive (SED) memory.

The Windows 10 device comes with Dell Command Integration Suite and the infrared camera allows for facial recognition via Windows Hello.

The tablet is equipped with a 34 Whr battery that provides up to six hours of use but gains up to nine hours of battery life when attached to the base, which has a separate 22 Whr battery.

Dell has not announced pricing and availability for the Latitude 7285 two-in-one laptop but the American computer technology company did say that more information will be revealed at the EMC World technology forum, to be held in Las Vegas on May 8–11.
