'Dragon Ball Super' episodes 74, 75 spoilers: Goku to train with long-time friend Krillin
At the core of all the gaudy transformations and explosive battles to save all mankind, "Dragon Ball Super" is, at its core, a story about close ties between people and how threatening these bonds serve as a much-needed booster when the heroes find themselves in a pinch.
As such, the next episode of the Japanese anime series will celebrate one of the longest friendships in the entire "Dragon Ball" saga as it brings Saiyan Goku and Earthman Krillin together for some intense training after the one Goku attempted to do with his son Gohan, aka Great Saiyaman, ends up destroying his wife's field.
Although it is Chichi who will suggest that the restless father should spar with his son, leaving the field, which she toils all day, in ruins is absolutely unforgivable. And Goku, who has nothing on his wife's explosive wrath flies off in search of a new sparring partner and chances upon Krillin at his day job, chasing a burglar down the street.
The trailer for the episode titled "Goku and Krillin Back to the Old Training Grounds" also reveals the reason behind Goku's restlessness. It turns out that the Saiyan is gearing himself up to take part in the upcoming Omniverse Tournament that is going to be organized by Zen-Oh.
New details about the upcoming arc have been revealed via an article on Animedia, which was translated into English by Todd Blankenship. The tournament will bring together 10 warriors from each universe, and the ones representing Universe 7 are Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Krillin, the Turtle Hermit, Piccolo, Tenshinhan, Majin Boo, and Androids 17 and 18. They have all alternately clashed and teamed up in various situations to defend or threaten the safety of mankind. How will these 10 warriors fare against the greatest fighters from all other universes?
The article also reveals that it is actually Goku who reminds Zen-Oh about the tournament, and he is, therefore, regarded as partly the mastermind behind the upcoming "Tournament of Power."
But before this brand new arc kicks off in February, the warriors of Universe 7 will be featured in the few remaining filler episodes leading up to this year's main event.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 75 airs on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV.
