'Fairy Tail' chapter 489 spoilers: Will fans see Lady Eileen and Acnologia finally waging war? Which of them will prevail?

The highly anticipated battle between Lady Eileen Belserion and Acnologia which fans expected to happen in the most recent chapters will finally be taking place in the chapter 489 of "Fairy Tail."

Acnologia, the Black Winged One, who had been previously predicted to reveal himself in his dragon form, transformed into and showed himself in his human form instead. He finally came in confrontation with Lady Eileen, yet the much-awaited battle between the two has yet to ensue and this continues to intrigue the manga series' curious fans. It was also speculated earlier that the Scarlet Angel is the 5th dragon slayer, and the avid followers of the series are still excited and hanging on to this preempted revelation in the upcoming chapter 489.

The Scarlet Angel, who refuses the name the Scarlet of Despair, contains so much sentiments of despise toward Acnologia that she does not make any efforts to conceal her intentions of taking him down. And although "Fairy Tail" fans may be looking forward to Lady Eileen's emergence as victor and hence the demise of the Black Winged One, it is expected that the desired win of Eileen will not come easy.

However, some fans may be more realistic in theorizing the impending turn of events in the story. The ultimate combat between Acnologia and Eileen will prove to be eventful; after all, it will be a showdown between a living legend and the strongest female among all of Spriggan 12. There are theories that tell of Acnologia's looming victory instead. Not only because of his status as a legend who was responsible for killing someone as powerful as Igneel, the Fire Dragon King and foster father of Natsu Dragneel, but also because Zeref Dragneel himself said to Acnologia, "I made E.N.D. to especially kill you." This may be an insinuation that it will be E.N.D. who will be ultimately capable of putting an end to the Black Winged One's life and not Lady Eileen despite her incredible strength.

E.N.D. is Zeref's younger brother Natsu whom Zeref revived from the dead as the most powerful Etherious. This is precisely for the purpose of slaying Acnologia.

"Fairy Tail" fans will have another exciting chapter to look forward to which hopefully will contain and deliver this long-awaited battle.
