'General Hospital' spoilers, plot news: Valentin claims Charlotte; Bree Williamson temporarily departs

The search for Charlotte's (Scarlett Fernandez) real father continues. Claudette (Bree Williamson) primarily brought Charlotte to Port Charles to introduce her as Nathan's (Ryan Paevey) daughter. But everything was a lie and now Charlotte is with Griffin (Matt Cohen). However, fans know that Griffin isn't the real father.

According to spoilers, Charlotte's real father is going to claim her and the man determined to get her is none other than big bad Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). But it's not going to be easy as he will need to go through Griffin who has become attached to the little girl even though he isn't sure yet if he is the real father.

Aside from Griffin, Valentin will also have to face Nathan. He is in favor of keeping Charlotte away from the villainous Cassadine no matter what. They believe that unless Valentin is the father, they will never give Charlotte to him. They know the evil capabilities of Valentin and they don't want to risk it.

Valentin has a weapon against them though. He will ask for some backup from Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) who is knowledgeable about legal matters. And even though her law license isn't with her, she can still give Valentin some advice on what to do to get Charlotte.

Alexis will firstly advice Valentin to demand for a paternity test. Spoilers suggest that Valentin will be able to do a DNA test and the results will greatly devastate Griffin. Valentin on the other hand will be victorious with his battle for Charlotte.

As for Claudette, reports said that she will be missing in action for sometime. Actress Williamson has already wrapped up her time as Claudette but she hinted that it's not really the end for her yet. She will most likely return to the soap opera as there may still be a lot in store for her character.
