While fans have been eagerly anticipating the day when they finally find out who Rory (Alexis Bledel) ends up with in the long-awaited "Gilmore Girls" revival, her on-screen dad, actor David Sutcliffe, may have already spoiled the surprise.

With the revival set to air in less than a year, fans of the cult favorite series, which originally ran from 2000 to 2007, have been waiting to see how their favorite Stars Hollow residents have fared in the years since. Many are especially excited to find out which of Rory's three ex-boyfriends turns out to be her one true love.

Various sources have already confirmed that all three of the exes — Dean (Jared Padalecki), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), and Logan (Matt Czuchry) — will be appearing in the Netflix reboot. And because "Gilmore Girls" fans have been adamant about who they think Rory should choose, Sutcliffe's recent comment may have ruined the reveal for many.

In an interview with USA Today, Sutcliffe, who plays Rory's father Christopher Hayden, spoke about who he thinks Rory should be with.

"I'm not even sure where she's at, but I'm partial to, who's the first boyfriend?" he asked the outlet, which, in turn, responded that he was talking about Dean.

"I was going to say Jess, but I mean Dean," he said.

He then dropped a giant bombshell, adding: "You know, I liked all the young actors that played her boyfriends. I know they're not going to end up together, but Rory and Dean seem like a good couple."

Did the actor genuinely slip or was he merely teasing?

Fans will have to wait until the revival event airs to find out.

Meanwhile, "Gilmore Girls" fans were recently abuzz over speculation that the First Lady of the United States could make an appearance in the upcoming reboot.

On Wednesday, June 22, Bledel appeared on Michelle Obama's Snapchat.

"Hey, we're in the Map Room with..." Obama said as she turned the camera, which then showed Bledel, who added, "...me!"

"I'm back at the White House!" she announced.

The "Gilmore Girls" star's visit to the White House led many to believe that she was there to film scenes for the revival event.

Sadly, a Snapchat representative has shot this rumor down, telling TVLine, "Michelle Obama is not in 'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.' It was just something fun Alexis did to support the launch of Michelle's Snapchat channel and her Let Girls Learn initiative."

Netflix has yet to announce the official release date for "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."
