'Gotham' season 3 episode 8 spoilers: The search for cure is compromised; Jerome to return sooner than expected?
The race to find a cure begins on the upcoming episode of Fox's crime drama "Gotham" season 3.
Titled "Mad City: Beware the Green-Eyed Monster," next week's episode will revolve around the search for a cure. According to the official synopsis for episode 11, the virus begins to spread in Gotham City.
However, things will take a different turn when the laboratory that is developing a cure is compromised. Mario (James Carpinello) and Gordon (Ben McKenzie) come face-to-face before the wedding, while Selina (Camren Bicondova) meets an unexpected individual. Elsewhere, Barbara (Erin Richards) comes to Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) to give him information about Kris Kringle's doppelganger Isabella (Chelsea Spack).
On another note, many fans were disappointed when Jerome Valeska a.k.a. Joker (Cameron Monaghan) died in season 2. Their minds were only put at ease when executive producer John Stephens confirmed that Jerome will be back, possibly on season 4 should Fox order another season from the program.
Months after teasing fans with his Joker laugh, Monaghan made fans more excited when he allegedly took to Instagram last week to post a photo (via Moviepilot)—which he eventually deleted—and it confirms some of the suspicions about his role.
According to the publication, Monaghan recently finished filming his scenes on the seventh season of the Showtime dramedy "Shameless." Rumor has it that he is currently in New York City, where "Gotham" shoots most of its sequences. The said picture appears to be of Monaghan himsel, and even though it doesn't show his full face, he seems to have some scarring. This suggests that when Jerome make shis much-awaited comeback, he may look different than how fans remember him.
There are speculations that Jerome will unveil his new look when "Gotham" returns next year after its midseason break.
"Gotham" season 3 airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
