'Grimm' season 6 premiere spoilers, updates: Adalind staking claim on Nick? David Giuntoli teases 'complicated thing' between Nick and Juliette
It looks like things would get complicated for Nick as far as his personal relationships go when "Grimm" season 6 returns on the small screen.
During the season 5 finale of the show, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) healed everyone, including Eve (Bitsie Tulloch), with the stick. However, when he used it on Eve, he saw a glimpse of his ex-girlfriend Juliette Silverton (also played by Tulloch), who tragically died in the season 4 finale. This development had fans wondering how Juliette's re-emergence would affect Nick and Adalind Schade (Claire Coffee).
Shippers of Adalind and Nick want nothing to come between the two, but loyal fans of Nick and Juliette/Eve are hoping that their romance would be rekindled in season 6. Giuntoli addressed the concerns of fans during the Wellington's Armaggedon Expo.
"There's going to have to be a long kind of couple's therapy for me to even be able to talk to Eve," the actor joked, adding, "Boy, that's going to be a very complicated thing. I think Nick doesn't know what the hell Eve is all about. I think he sees traces of Juliette left in her, but Juliette did so many terrible things to Nick late in the last couple of seasons that I think he likes to think that this is somebody completely aside from Juliette, completely apart from Juliette."
Seeing as Nick is now in a relationship with Adalind, with whom he shares a child, Giuntoli said it's "going to be a complicated relationship" should Nick start "seeing more of Juliette coming back."
If you ask Coffee, though, she would want the Nick-Adalind love angle to continue through to "Grimm" season 6, because she thinks it is what fans want. In an interview with Parade, she said her character would want to be back with Nick so she can establish a family with him.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that "Grimm" season 6 would shed light on the dynamics between Diana (Hannah R. Loyd), Adalind, and Juliette especially concerning Diana's powers. Overall, TV Insider said season 6 could focus on the relationship dynamics among the other cast members aside from Nick and Adalind – Sgt. Wu (Reggie Lee) and his alter ego, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalie (Bree Turner), and even Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) as the season's villain.
NBC is yet to announce the official premiere date of "Grimm" season 6. Stay tuned for updates and more details about the upcoming season.
