'GTA 5: Biker' DLC release date rumors: Expansion pack going official this week?
The much-awaited "Grand Theft Auto 5" ("GTA 5") downloadable content (DLC) called "Biker" is not far off. Interestingly, it is reportedly being released this week, specifically today, Aug. 18.
According to popular "GTA" tipster MrBossFTW, Aug. 18 is a big day for developer Rockstar Games with regard to its plans for add-on content for "GTA 5."
The leakster pointed out that on the said date, the winner of the CEO Rockstar Editor Contest that was launched by the studio back in June will be revealed. For the uninitiated, the competition requires players to put together an amazing short film out of the cinematic clips from "GTA 5."
In addition to that, the ongoing Double GTA$ and reputation points (RP) week for Entourage as well as Extraction and Hunting Pack Adversary Modes also ends today.
With two big events wrapping up, "GTA" fans expect that Rockstar will also have cool new things to launch. The "Biker" DLC is expected to be on the cards for a proper introduction.
A few weeks back — shortly after Rockstar released the "Cunning Stunts" DLC — gamers mined the add-on's game files and found references to the unannounced "Biker" DLC.
Looking at the name, it appears that "GTA 5" is getting a motorcycle-centric pack from Rockstar. The files mentioned the likes of "bad deal," "initiation," "joust," "rescue contact," and "export." The references hint that the Biker DLC will offer fun twists with the motorcycles. Fans should know more about the add-on content from Rockstar.
If MrBossFTW's information is accurate, the "GTA 5: Biker" DLC will be made official today, Aug. 18. For now, gamers will simply have to wait and make the most of the Double GTA$ and RP event before it wraps up.
Meanwhile, it is also being reported that more content and tweaks will be released for "GTA 5," including the rumored Police Mission and Hunting features.
