iPad spectators have been hoping that the iPad Air 3 will come out in time. Recent news claims that Apple will release another series of iPad Air in the near future, prompting the arrival of the third model.

It was just back in August when popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted three new iPad coming in the market. It is said that a budget model will come out with a 9.7-inch size screen, which is speculated as the iPad Air 3.

The second model is believed to have a 10.10-inch screen size with thin bezels, which may be a revamped iPad pro with A10X chip. The last model is a follow-up of the iPad Pro 12.9, but with better specs. It may also include the A10x chip.

This is contrary to the long-standing rumor that the series of iPad Air will be ditched, or the iPad Pro 9.7 has replaced the iPad Air 3. Apple has yet to confirm the rumors.

As for the specs, it is expected that iPad Air 3 will sport a thinner size as compared with the current model. According to Tech Radar, the tablet may come with 3 GB of random-access memory (RAM), and 16 GB or 32 GB of built-in storage. It is also likely that the device will retain its 3.5 mm jacks, indicating that it will not be patterned after the hit iPhone 7.

The price remains to be a mystery, but judging by the price of the current model, the iPad Air 3 could be around $600. Tech analysts are looking at the possibility that iPad Air 3 may be the last model to be released as the Cupertino tech giant is reportedly focused on multiple product series. The upcoming iPad variants may be included in the iPad Pro variants.

iPad Air 2 was released in Oct. 2014 and was made available in the same month. The first model was released in Oct. 2013 and was up for grabs by November. Will this release date trend be followed with the rollout of the iPad Air 3?
