iPhone 6 Plus vs Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Comparison: Specs, Features Review - Apple's Hit Phablet Faces New Competitor
With the iPhone 6 Plus enjoying brisk sales, Apple has a hit phablet on its hands. But now it faces a stiff challenge from the Mi Note Pro from Xiaomi which was recently launched.
The Chinese device is much cheaper than the iPhone 6 Plus and comes with cutting edge specs.
The iPhone 6 Plus is just a bigger version of the iPhone 6 with an enhanced battery and the same features such as a metal unibody and rounded edges. As for the Mi Note Pro, while it aims to take on the phablet from Apple, it does not look like the iPhone 6 Plus, as it has a Corning Gorilla Glass 2.5D on its front and 3D glass on its back panel and a metal frame.
Coming to display, the Mi Note Pro has a bigger 5. 7-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 515 pixels per inch. Its screen to body ratio is 74.4 percent. The iPhone 6 Plus has a smaller 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a density of 401 pixels per inch and a screen to body ratio of 67.8 percent.
Comparing their specs, the iPhone 6 Plus has a Apple A8 chipset, dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone CPU and PowerVR GX6450 GPU. The Mi Note Pro has the latest Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. In terms of RAM, the iPhone 6 Plus has 1 GB while the Mi Note Pro has 4 GB.
Both devices do not have a microSD card slot. The iPhone 6 Plus is sold as 16, 64 and128 GB versions while the Mi Note Pro is sold with 64 GB.
Finally in terms of price, the 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus costs $849 without a contract while the 64 GB Mi Note Pro costs $599 without a contract.
