After sitting out Sunday's game against the 76ers, fans of Brooklyn Nets' Jeremy Lin have grown more concerned about his hamstring injury.

CBS Sports reported that Sunday's game marked the player's sixth straight absence since acquiring a second hamstring strain this season. He has not been given any specific timetable for his return, and he will continuously be evaluated on a game-to-game basis until further information on his condition and eventual return is released.

Lin's first hamstring strain injury happened last Nov. 2, followed by some back tightness, and he suffered another on Dec. 27. The first injury made him miss 17 consecutive games this season, while the second injury closing on a sixth following Sunday's game.

In an earlier interview with The Post, Lin shared that his current strain was less severe and that it's improving at a faster rate compared to the last. He also shared that he had already started shooting.

Lin was still, however, unable to provide an estimated return date, and the basketball star went on to describe his latest injury like a maddening incident of "Groundhog Day."

"This thing all over again, or the rehab days all over again," the Brooklyn Nets' point guard said. But the fact that the injury this time is in a different spot than the last provides a silver lining. Lin said that his recovery was progressing a lot better than the last time, and he's very encouraged by it.

"If it was the same exact spot, it'd be a different tune," he added.

Lin remembered the night of his second injury and said that it had been difficult. He did not feel like talking to anybody at all and was pretty upset because he had not anticipated these things to happen now that he's had an opportunity to play for the Brooklyn Nets.

"But that's life. It's more how you respond to it," Lin said, further adding that these setbacks could present him with different ways to contribute to his team and that the learning experience such adversaries provide make for the most valuable parts of his life.
