An upcoming Marvel Comics-based movie titled "Logan," centers on the "X-Men" character Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), also known as Logan, who is now one of the last mutants — and is an aging one at that. He, along with Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), tries to protect Laura (Dafne Keen), a mysterious young girl who is haunted by dark forces.

The movie is intended as a sequel to 2014's "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and is slated for a March 3, 2017 release date in the United States. Now that 2016 is almost at its end, an international poster had just been released to tease the upcoming film.

The new poster shows the two main characters, Wolverine and Laura, both seemingly on the run. Wolverine had his claws out and appears to protect Laura as they are running away from something.

The image is reminiscent of a close father-daughter relationship, and even if Keen did not confirm nor deny that her Laura character will indeed be X-23, known as a female clone of Logan, many fans already jumped to that conclusion, especially that Keen had a stunt double (Sienna Novikov), which indicates that her character might be in for a lot of action.

Before the poster was released, Jackman previously shared a movie still to tease "Logan" among fans. In a tweet, the actor posted a black-and-white photo which showed Logan standing outside a house with a body on the ground.

Fans were also treated to a first-look trailer last month, showing a weakening and aging Wolverine with an equally aging and forgetful Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X.

"Logan" also stars Richard E. Grant as Zander Rice, Boyd Holbrook as Donald Pierce, and Stephen Merchant as Caliban. The movie is directed by James Mangold and distributed by 20th Century Fox.
