MacBook Pro 2015 Release Date: April or June 2015 Launch Date Expected
The MacBook Pro 2015, touted to have TouchID and Ultra HD Retina Display, has been rumored to have a launch date as early as April to as late as June 2015.
It is, however, very highly probable, that Apple will launch the product on its WWDC Event scheduled on June 8-12, 2015. WWDC is the Worldwide Developers Conference and this is usually the venue where Apple shows off its exciting new products.
Here are some of the specs rumors for the new MacBook Pro 2015:
Broadwell Core M Processors. Since the Broadwell Core M processors run at just 4.5 watts and lower frequencies, this will mean better battery life for the users.
Thinner Design. Apple has always been known to go slimmer relative to its computers. The last time the computer received a slimmer design was in 2012. So it is about time.
Touch ID. The extra security will be a very welcome and convenient addition for users.
Graphics. Rumor has it that Apple will offer a dual-graphics card setup in the higher-end 2015 model, with GeForce 800M series serving as a possibility.
In other news, some glitches in previous generation models haunt Apple. Several users have reported issues with MacBook Pro models sold between Feb. 11 and Dec. 2013. The affected units will show blank screens even when turned on or when connected to external screen. Video distortions and unexpected system reboots are other symptoms.
Apple has committed to fix the issues free of charge and the repair program has already started in the U.S. and Canada. Those in the U.K. can get their units fixed from Feb. 27 onwards. Users can drop off their units at an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider participating in the repair program. Users can also request mail service to have their units shipped to the repair center.
