Mi Note vs Galaxy Note 4 Comparison: Specs, Features Summary - Xiaomi Cheaper But Samsung Has Better Specs
Xiaomi's Mi Note may pose serious challenge to the iPhone 6 Plus, but it may have a bigger fight on its hands against Samsung's Galaxy Note 4.
In a head to head comparison, it is clear that the Note 4 is hard to beat in terms of specs even though the Mi Note is cheaper.
Starting off with design, the Galaxy Note 4 has a plastic body with a metal band around its edge which gives it a premium look. At its back is a plastic panel with a faux leather finish which makes it easy to hold. As for the Mi Note, it comes with a premium metal frame with slightly curved Gorilla Glass 3 at its front while its back panel is also made up of glass but with a bigger curvature.
Coming to their displays, the Galaxy Note 4 has a Super AMOLED screen measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 515 pixels per inch. The Mi Note has an IPS LCD screen measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 386 pixels per inch.
As for their platforms, both run the Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The Mi Note has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801chipset, Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. The Galaxy Note 4 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. Both devices however, have 3GB of RAM.
A major difference is that the Mi Note does not have a microSD slot while the Galaxy Note has one that allows for external memory of up to 128 GB.
Finally coming to price, the 16GB version of the Mi Note is expected to be priced at $371 while the 32 GB Galaxy Note 4 is priced at $825.99 without a contract.
