After a series of escalating threats against a congresswoman, the NCIS team is called on to investigate on the upcoming episode of the hit CBS procedural "NCIS" season 14.

Titled "Pay to Play," the 9th episode of "NCIS" will see the team investigate a crime involving a U.S. politician. According to the official synopsis, Congresswoman Jenna Flemming (guest star Mary Stuart Masterson) continues to receive a series of escalating threats against her, so the NCIS team is tapped to investigate. Meanwhile, Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) is tasked to oversee the temporary protection detail for the case.

On this week's episode titled "Enemy Combatant," Bishop (Emily Wickersham) finally revealed the identity of her secret boyfriend: Qasim Naasir (Rafi Silver). He was first introduced in season 12, and it looks like fans he will be making more appearances as the story moves forward.

In a recent interview with TV Guide, Wickersham confirmed that viewers will be seeing more of Bishop and Qasim in the next few episodes of season 14. "Over the next few episodes ... Qasim is in them and a little bit more of their relationship is revealed," she said. "You know how it goes at 'NCIS.' It's not like we're gonna learn so much, but we will definitely get a little window into their relationship."

It has been a pretty tough year for everyone working on "NCIS" after the passing of the program's longtime showrunner Gary Glasberg. Wickersham mentioned that Glasberg's death was a huge shock to them because everyone in the show loved him. Even though they are still mourning, the actress stated that all they can do now is move forward. Months after Glasberg passed on, CBS announced that he will be replaced by longtime "NCIS" producers George Schenck and Frank Cardea.
