'NCIS' season 14 spoilers: New details on Wilmer Valderrama's Nick revealed
CBS has finally revealed more information about the character of actor Wilmer Valderrama, who fans will get to see often in "NCIS" season 14.
The "That 70s Show" alum was revealed to play the role of Special Agent Nicholas Torres better known as Nick. He has not been around for half a year ever since he went undercover in Argentina.
He was presumed dead, only to turn up in the most surprising way. According to the "NCIS" season 14 synopsis by CBS, Nick will be involved in a "deadly" car explosion in D.C., bringing him back to the team's radar again.
As what has been revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con, Nick will eventually go back to work. However, he is no longer the same man that left six months ago.
After being so used to working alone during his mission, Nick no longer knows how to be part of a team and consider the opinion and actions of others.
"He only knows how to do things one way and that is based on his own instincts. He's gonna be presented with a different dynamic and that's not gonna sit well," Valderrama told BuddyTV, even referring to his character as the "lone wolf."
"There's something that's going to happen, but we already have like a little father-son kind of thing. I'm the black sheep of the family so far," the actor continued.
The "NCIS" season 14 newcomer also revealed that his character's cover was blown, and whoever he was trying to apprehend is now after him.
Who or what the threat is remains a secret, but fans won't have to wait that long to find out as Nick will appear first thing in "NCIS" season 14.
CBS also had a bit of tease as to the entrance of Jennifer Esposito as Special Agent Alexandra Quinn, who is asked by Gibbs (Mark Harmon) "to shadow his team after rejecting eight agents she instructed and referred for the open agent position."
Actor Duane Henry, who was introduced in the previous season as MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves, will officially be part of the crew in "NCIS" season 14, but starting in the fifth episode.
"NCIS" returns for season 14 on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
