'NCIS' season 14 spoilers news: Wilmer Valderrama reveals premiere title; New female character joins team

Michael Weatherly's departure from "NCIS" pushed the series to look for someone else to fill the void, and it looks like it may have found not just one but three additional faces to grace season 14, one of which is a returning character.

It was confirmed last month that "That 70s Show" star Wilmer Valderrama would be joining "NCIS" season 14. The 36-year-old actor will be playing the role of a field agent who had gone to a deep cover assignment several years back. He hasn't been heard of since he took the assignment, but he's back now and described as a "loose cannon."

Duane Henry, who played MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves, has been promoted to series regular in the upcoming season. He was introduced to the series in season 13 during Tony DiNozzo's (Weatherly) farewell arc along with "24" actress Sarah Clarke. Many presumed Clarke would be included in the cast of "NCIS" season 12 as a regular, and while there is a new female joining the show, it won't be her.

Recent reports, as well as "NCIS'" official Twitter account, have confirmed "Blue Bloods'" Jennifer Esposito has been tapped as the newest member of Team Gibbs.

According to Fox News, Esposito will be playing the role of Alex Quinn, "an experienced agent who left field work who left field work and became an instructor at the Law Enforcement Training Center." Apparently, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) would handpick her to join the team at the start of the season.

"We couldn't be happier to have Jennifer Esposito joining us for season 14," executive producer Gary Glasberg said in a statement. "She embodies everything that we hoped for in the character of Quinn and we can't wait to have her come be a part of our team."

Esposito shared the same sentiments on her Twitter page, which proves she has no hard feelings against CBS whom she accused fired her in 2012 due to her health condition. She suffers from Celiac's disease, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, Valderrama, who wrapped his first day on the set of "NCIS" season 14 last July 14, shared the premiere title on his Twitter page. Check out his post below:

"NCIS" Season 14 is slated for release on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 8:00 p.m. on CBS. It will air every Tuesdays from that point on.
