'Once Upon A Time' Spoilers, Plot Recap: Regina and Emma Turn Allies on Separate Missions in New York

In Episode 20 of "Once Upon a Time" Season 4 on Sunday, April 26, Regina went on a mission to New York to save her true love Robin Hood, who unknowingly was with Regina's evil half-sister, Zelena (The Wicked Witch of the West), masquerading as Hood's wife, Marian.

Emma discovered that Maleficent's daughter, Lily, was in New York. Lily just happened to be an old friend of hers during her foster care days. The two unlikely allies—Regina and Emma—agreed to join forces to go to the Big Apple to fulfill their individual missions.

"Zelena is like a stalker," actress Lana Parrilla, who plays Regina, told TVGuide.com. "Regina is just so fed up. She wants to put an end to it, yet when we see her in New York, I don't think she really goes in with a plan. She just knows she has to be there to help Robin because right now he doesn't even know he's living with the enemy."

Going to New York posed some challenges for both Regina and Emma. Regina didn't feel that her magic was pouring out of her and she's powerless. Parilla likened Emma and Regina to Thelma & Louis, running through New York, with Lily leading them on an adventure.

Regina, known for her witty quips in the series, got to say another one, when she and Emma walked through New York in a building that's dirty and gross. "I don't know why I created Storybrooke when I couldn've cursed everyone to come here," Regina said.

Meanwhile, in Storybrooke, Gold faced a crisis involving Belle. In a foster care flashback, things were looking up for young Emma with her new family until Lily's appearance threatened to destabilize everything.

During last week's episode set in fictional 1920s England, viewers were introduced to a young Cruella, whose tyrannical mother used her Dalmatians to terrorize her daughter. Cruella was confined to her mother's attic. A mysterious stranger later arrived and gave her the power to challenge her captor.

"Once Upon a Time" is aired in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound. The program carries a TV-PG,V parental guideline.
