Pangu jailbreak for iOS 9.3.2, 9.3.3, 10 release date news 2016: Pangu unveils iOS 10 jailbreak at MOSEC; 9.3.2 jailbreak coming soon?

Pangu, the Chinese jailbreaker developer team, recently announced that it has made strides in jailbreaking iOS 10.

The team made the announcement at the Mobile Security Conference (MOSEC) 2016, which was held on July 1 at the Grand Kempinski Hotel in Shanghai, China.

At the event, Pangu focused chiefly on iOS 10, telling the audience about the improved security measures Apple has incorporated into its latest version of iOS.

Later on, the team announced that they have succeeded in running Cydia, the iOS package manager mobile app that allows users to find and install software on jailbroken iPhones, on the beta version of iOS 10. This allowed the team to run some of their own apps and other apps that are not on Apple's App Store.

While Pangu admitted that they were still working on a full jailbreak for iOS 10, the fact that Cydia can work normally on the latest version of the mobile operating system could mean that iOS 10 supports jailbreaking and that a modified iOS 10 could function smoothly.

During their presentation at MOSEC 2016, the Pangu team also reportedly ran a demo on iOS 9.3.2, the latest version of iOS to hit the public. On July 1, one of the organizers of the event, a member of the POC team, tweeted, "#MOSEC2016 Pangu team showed one more demo about privacy problem in the latest iOS version(9.3.2)."

This has been taken to mean that though iOS 9.3.3 and iOS 10 are imminent, Pangu may still be working on a jailbreak for iOS 9.3.2.

In addition, tech blogger Stephen Chang noted that there has been talk that a jailbreak tool for iOS 9.3.2 could drop soon. As rumors have it, someone from Pangu confirmed to an audience member at MOSEC 2016 that the iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak is being developed and that it could be released within the week.

Meanwhile, with iOS 9.3.3 now in its fourth beta version, it may not be long before Pangu unveils a jailbreak for this version of iOS as well.

Pangu has yet to announce the official release dates for the iOS 9.3.2, iOS 9.3.3, and iOS 10 jailbreaks.
