Samsung is expected to release a new variant in their Galaxy A series and it's none other than the Galaxy A3 (2017). There are no official details about the device yet but it has already been spotted on benchmarking site GFXBench.

According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy A3 could be nearing its release date because the device, which has a model number of SM-A320F, has already been shipped by Samsung to India for testing purposes. Latest reports also showed that the next-gen Galaxy A3 has now been certified by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). Unfortunately, the Bluetooth listing did not divulge any details on the specs and features of the device.

For now, Samsung fans will just have to rely on the details revealed in the listing. As detailed in BGR, the Galaxy A3 (2017) is expected to come with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. There are rumors though suggesting that the screen will be bigger than that. It could also sport a 5.5-inch display.

Under the hood, one can expect to see an octa-core processor running at 1.5 GHz. Its graphics processing unit is ARM Mali-T830 while its RAM count is 2 GB. Its expected native storage is 8 GB which can be expanded further up to 32 GB via a microSD card.

Reports regarding the camera features vary. Some sources say that the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) will carry a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Other reports suggest though that it will have a 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel combo. It's also said to be pre-installed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.

There is no word yet on the battery capacity but its predecessor, the Galaxy A3 (2016), came with 2,300 mAh. Connectivity options for the 2017 model include NFC, Wi-Fi and the newest Bluetooth standard, the Bluetooth 5.0 with LTE support.

As of now, nothing is certain yet as to when the device will be out but reports suggest that it will most likely arrive sometime in early 2017.
