'Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment' release date news: Yacht Club Games confirms April release
"Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment" has been anticipated for quite some time and finally, it has been announced to come in April. Aside from this, "Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove" may also come in the same month.
Nintendo has yet to confirm the release date, but according to the PlayStation blog, updates will come in April. Gamers assumed that the company is pertaining to have their own platform, but the update will come a month after the launch of Nintendo Switch. And since "Shovel Knight" is already confirmed to have a Switch version, it is expected that the game will be available for all platforms.
It was just this month when Yacht Club Games announced that a new cooperative mode, aside from the Body Swap mode and a revamp of the "Shovel Knight" series. It is reported that "Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove" is a part of the entire series.
The Body Swap Mode allows the players to change the body frames of Black Knight, Shovel Knight, Enchantress and all other characters found in the Order of No Quarter.
As soon as "Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove" becomes available, players can choose several options to own each campaign on PlayStation 4 (PS4). These options include:
- Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope — Shovel of Hope is our new name for the original Shovel Knight game. But it needed a title like the others! What do you think?
- Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows — Plague Knight's Campaign emerges from the Shadows to hopefully get some recognition this time!
- Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment — Specter of Torment is our most expansive campaign yet. We're so excited for you to become the reaper!
Later on, several titles will also be released. These are "Shovel Knight: Battle Mode" and "Shovel Knight: King Knight's Campaign."
