Online gamers should get ready as Valve's Steam Summer Sale 2016 will surely have fans flooding their site to get their hands on big titles for cheap prices.
There has been a lot of anticipation on the coming sale, with a lot of people speculating on the exact date when Steam will drop their prices. Many fans took to message boards and forums to try and get the exact date, and on a particular Reddit forum, a user named MrFreemanBBQ allegedly confirmed the dates, according to Techno Buffalo.
The leak stated that the sale will begin on Thursday, June 23 and last until July 4. Specifically, the sale is slated to start by 9:45 p.m Pacific Time on June 23 and will end by 10:00 a.m. on July 4.
Last week, Paypal UK confirmed the start date for the much-awaited sale.
"It's official: the @Steam_games sale starts 23rd June," Paypal UK tweeted, which sent a lot of fans and gaming enthusiasts into a frenzy.
Reports say that there will be various games to be offered at discounted prices, and rumors claim that titles such as "Everybody's Gone to the Rapture," "Watch Dogs," "Resident Evil HD Remaster," "Infamous: Second Son," and "The Evil Within" could be part of the price drops.
Among the titles, "Watch Dogs" appears to be one of the better games as fans who missed out on the 2014 release can get their hands on the game for a bargain. It was scored highly by critics, with Metacritic giving it an 80% score while Google Play had it at 3.9/5.
Also released in 2014, "Infamous: Second Son" is also a good game to pick up as it is an open-world adventure game which has a great amount of replay value. Like "Watch Dogs," "Infamous: Second Son" has also received great reviews, with IGN giving it a score of 8.7/10 while GameSpot scored it 8/10.
Stay tuned for the complete list of games to be included in this year's Steam Summer Sale.
