'Street Fighter V' DLC news 2016: Game to receive 'vs CPU' option; Upcoming update aims to lessen rage quitters
Capcom continues to provide more thrill in "Street Fighter V" by starting events and updating the gameplay with a new downloadable content pack (DLC). As for the month of September, the Japanese game developer company has a lot in store for the gamers.
VG 24/7 reported that Capcom will be holding a series of double Fight Money event for ranked matches. The first round of the event will happen sometime between Sept. 2 and 4. However, the main attraction of the upcoming month for the "Street Fighter V" players will be the new DLC update. Specifically, the new DLC is expected to create a more exciting gaming atmosphere by adding a new fight or battle mode.
The online publication mentioned that many "Street Fighter" fans have been demanding for an Arcade mode in the game, which will allow them to fight an opponent controlled by the computer. The good news is that a similar fighting mode will be included in the September update via the "vs. CPU" option. In this case, the player will fight against the game's AI, although it is not yet known if this option will be exactly similar to the traditional Arcade mode.
Meanwhile, the latest August update of "Street Fighter V" will be implementing a new rule that aims to lessen the so-called "rage quitters" in the game. Capcom is planning to add penalties for those players who will back out or disconnect immediately after entering a match. Some of the possible penalties include losing League Points or being locked out of an online matchmaking for a particular time period.
"Since the initial Rage Quitting system rollout, we have seen a rapid decrease in rage quitting players, and we believe that this new update will reduce that number even further," said Capcom via PlayStation Lifestyle. "That being said, we're still working on implementing a new, more robust system that will address the issue more completely by early next year."
Moreover, the mentioned "robust system" that is expected to roll out in 2017 will target to prevent any attempt of rage quitting by the players in every match.
