'Suits' season 6 episode 11 air date news spoilers: Harvey and Louis struggle to rebuild firm; Mike to try different career path
Jessica's (Gina Torres) departure means that it will be up to managing partners Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Louis (Rick Hoffman) to rebuild Pearson Specter Litt after the mass exodus of its employees in the midseason finale of "Suits."
Harvey and Louis realize that they will have to put their issues aside if they want to keep the firm afloat. However, executive producer Aaron Korsh reveals that it will not be an easy transition for either of them.
"There's going to be a little conflict over who's running the show and what they're going to do and what direction they're going to take," he told Deadline.
With their mediator, Jessica, no longer there, the two lawyers will have to rely on Donna (Sarah Paulson) and Rachel (Megan Markle) to help steer them in the right direction. Despite these trying times, Korsh revealed that this experience will allow Harvey to undergo some personal growth but did not specify if it was related to his issues with his mother or his relationship with his longtime secretary.
Meanwhile, it's uncertain for how long Rachel will be there to help out as there is a chance that she will also be leaving the firm. According to TVLine, the paralegal and part-time associate will consider her options after her father offers her a position at his law firm. Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) will convince his daughter that Pearson Specter Litt has no chance of surviving without Jessica and that she will have a better future if she will disassociate herself with the firm that hired a fraud. However, that last part will be a bit difficult to overcome given that Rachel is still engaged to Mike (Patrick J. Adams).
Mike, in the midst of all this, will be readjusting to life outside of prison and will try to find a path for himself now that he is no longer pretending to be a lawyer.
"[Mike] got out of prison early and he doesn't want to just go back to corporate law. He wants to try and help people. Unfortunately, he's a convicted felon. It's not going to be that easy for him to help people. So that's his struggle," Korsh told The Hollywood Reporter.
Season 6 of "Suits" will return on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 3017 at 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
