Taylor Swift has spoken out against the way her love life has been played out by the press.

In an interview that will appear in the June 2015 issue of Glamour UK that will be on sale starting Thursday, April 30, Swift got her angst out of her system. She complained about how she is being shamed by the media into staying single. She doesn't appreciate being called "boy crazy" or "clingy."

"I think the media has sent me a really unfair message over the past couple of years, which is that I'm not allowed to date for excitement, or fun, or new experiences or learning lessons," Taylor told the magazine.

"I'm only allowed to date if it's for a lasting, multiple-year relationship. Otherwise I'm a, quote, serial dater. Or, quote, boy crazy. The narrative has been so wrong; every time it was the same," she continued. 'It's 'Taylor spotted talking to this guy; she's chasing him.' They create a beginning to the story that didn't happen most of the time, so then they have to create an ending."

The 25-year-old singer admitted that there's "no easy way for me to engage with romance."

"I'm really busy, so I can't. And it's a good thing that I feel really independent and I feel that my friends are all I need. It's kind of a sad way I got there, though, being shamed into it," she told the magazine.

"Well, what else is it when you have two boyfriends in one year and everyone's calling you boy crazy, making jokes about you at awards shows? That's public humiliation. And I don't think it's fair," he said.

She also blamed the media for ruining her chances at love, sometimes even before it can even start.

Swift may be right, there are other girls her age who have more action in their love life and they never get as much public flak as she has, showbiz writers say.

However, Swift is in the public eye, and the fact that a lot of her hit songs are about boys/men she had relationships with, such that anyone she gets involved with have a high probability of having a song written about him one way or the other, only reinforces the fact that Swift has been involved with a lot of guys, most of them famous, they note.
