Fans of "The Bachelorette" will have to wait another week before finding out who among the remaining bachelors will make it to the hometown dates.

The popular ABC reality series took a break on Monday for the 4th of July festivities. Episode 7 will then air next Monday and, as the synopsis teases, things will be heating up, with JoJo going on a romantic horseriding date and spending the day pillow fighting with three bachelors. According to TV Guide, the episode will also reveal a suitor making a stunning revelation, one that could change how the bachelorette feels about him.

"The Bachelorette" season 12 episode 7 will find JoJo and her suitors exploring the Argentinian countryside. Alex, who was almost booted out in the previous episode, gets an eagerly anticipated one-on-one date with JoJo. Jordan, one of the season favorites, will also get some alone time with the bachelorette. The two are said to enjoy a romantic afternoon in a vineyard before things take a turn and Jordan admits something that shocks JoJo.

James, Chase, and Robby land the group date with JoJo, but when the weather prevents them from going out, the four spend the day in the hotel watching the Brazilian version of "The Bachelor" and having a pillow fight.

But while next week's group date will be an easygoing one, the stakes are high for the remaining bachelors. JoJo will have to make a big cut and choose the final four bachelors whose families she will meet in succeeding episodes.

Meanwhile, Derek Peth, who was eliminated six weeks into the current season, recently spoke about being surprised by how "real" the popular reality dating competition was.

According to the former suitor, he was initially skeptical about going into "The Bachelorette" season 12 and was forced into it by his younger sister, who sent in an application on his behalf without informing him. He was eventually pleasantly surprised that he was making a genuine connection with the bachelorette.

However, Derek also spoke about how some aspects of his personality didn't make it to the screen.

"For myself, I wish that maybe some of my sarcastic side would have been shown a little bit more, my goofy sarcastic side," he told Bustle. "But is that relevant? No, it's not that relevant, who cares? All that mattered really was in the moment, building the relationship with JoJo or attempting to."

"Some people were worse than they actually were portrayed, even though they were portrayed pretty poorly, and most of the rest of us, I think it's a pretty straight-shoot, exactly our personalities, just in a compressed format," he added.

"The Bachelorette" season 12 will air its episode 7 on Monday, July 11, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
