'The Originals' season 4 spoilers: Davina to come back to life? How will it affect Marcel and Klaus?

The CW hasn't announced a definite premiere date for "The Originals" season 4 yet, but this early, the series is expected not only to resolve the fate of the Mikaelsons but also to bring with it a slew of interesting characters and romance.

Since the Mikaelson siblings are currently trapped in dreamscape, they will wait for someone to rescue them from their impending doom, and fans are expecting season 4 to reveal who the designated savior is or the original family. Moreover, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) now knows that the Mikaelsons duped him into believing that they're dead, so the upcoming season would see him going after Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), which he assumes knows where the family is.

Meanwhile, Keelin (Christina Moses) will once again be a part of "The Originals" season 4, and this time, it looks like she will become romantically involved with a Mikaelson. There are also rumors that the infamous Salvatore brothers of "The Vampire Diaries" will crossover from Mystic Falls to New Orleans. The rumor mill is likewise spawning tales that Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) would be in season 4, perhaps to help Klaus (Joseph Morgan) who was once linked to her.

The time jump between the season 3 finale and season 4 premiere has already been confirmed by executive producer Michael Narducci in an interview with TV Guide, so it is assumed that what happened in-between will be the subject for flashbacks.

In other related news, Davina Claire (Danielle Campbell) will purportedly come back to life in the fourth season. It was noted that her return could affect Marcel and Klaus' storyline. After all, Davina's death set things spinning out of control for Marcel. He made Klaus and his siblings pay the price when they failed to bring Davina back.

Davina has always been a well-loved character on the series, and since it is a supernatural series, anything is possible, including bringing Davina back from the dead.

"We certainly didn't want to do it," Narducci told Entertainment Weekly regarding Davina's death. "... Freya and Elijah realize that the family may suffer more loss if they don't hijack this power that was meant to bring Davina back and to protect her from the ancestors. It's just this idea that the choices we make have consequences and thematically, the whole season is about the Mikaelsons will put family first, family above all, always and forever. And that's not necessarily going to result in justice or fairness or heroic behavior."

That statement seemed open-ended, and since "The Originals" season 4 isn't expected to premiere until early 2017, it looks like there'll be more time to inject Davina back into the storyline.
