'The Sims 4' free update: toddlers are back to be cuddled, played around and to all sorts of fun stuff
"The Sims 4" fans will be playing the game even more as there are wholesome characters added into it. All kids, and kids at heart, will surely appreciate the introduction of toddlers in the game via a free update.
It could be remembered that game publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has just released the "Vampire" downloadable content (DLC) in "The Sims 4," but it surprised the fans even more when it announced that toddlers will soon be seen in the game. The free update is accessible to anyone who owns the base game.
Toddlers have long-been requested by the fans, opting Electronic Arts to finally decide to return the kids back in the game after they appeared in "The Sims 3." The wholesome characters were suddenly removed from the game installment to the fans disappointment.
The game publisher initially explained that the removal of the toddler was based on their plan to focus more on the title's features to "make the game come alive." This is done through virtual efforts, which the toddlers could not represent during that time.
After two years of the kids being absent from the limelight, Electronic Arts finally released the little characters for the players to enjoy. They can now be seen playing, crawling and giving more bonding moments with the rest of the family members.
The toddlers can be taught by their parents to use the toilet and learn through flash cards, among others. They can also do other activities by reading them stories, carrying them around, speaking to them, and more.
"I'm not exaggerating when I say we've been talking about this particular update for years. We just had to find the right time, resources and design to allow us to start the heavy process of actually building and bringing Toddlers to life," said The Sims 4 executive producer, Lyndsay Pearson.
"And believe me when I say it has been really REALLY difficult to not talk about this as we worked to get it right," she added.
