'The Vampire Diaries' season 8 spoilers news: Kat Graham leaving the show? Nikki Reed upset over Nina Dobrev's return?
Someone is saying, "Goodbye" while another one is apparently saying, "It's good to be back." At least, that's what various speculations seem to point to regarding "The Vampire Diaries" season 8, which is coming back to the small screen this fall.
Although most fans are concerned over Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo's (Michael Malarkey) fate, there is an even bigger worry over Kat Graham's impending departure from the supernatural series. Now, fans are wondering whatever would happen to Mystic Falls' resident witch.
According to Inquisitr, Bonnie Bennett (Graham's character) could display signs of emotional trauma when "The Vampire Diaries" returns for its eighth run. While fans have always seen the stronger side of Bonnie, season 8 could see her reaching her limit in light of what happened to Damon and Enzo.
Speaking to TV Line, executive producer Julie Plec said the creature that affected Damon and Enzo on the season 7 finale would be about a thousand years old and look freakishly scary. It also can get inside a victim's head, which is why it used Elena Gilbert's (Nina Dobrev) voice to lure Damon deeper into the vault.
Losing her best friend (Elena), the love of her life (Jeremy), and her magic could take a toll on Bonnie so much so that her character might meet a tragic and heartbreaking end.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Dobrev will be returning to "The Vampire Diaries" for season 8. Apparently, Damon and Elena's romance will continue, and some love scenes between the characters are necessary to keep the show from getting axed.
However, it seems that Somerhalder's wife, actress Nikki Reed, is crying foul over this and insisting that Somerhalder stop with the romantic scenes. There are reports that Reed knows Somerhalder hooked up with her as a rebound girlfriend after Dobrev left Somerhalder. Somerhalder and Reed have since gotten married.
Still, it looks like Reed won't be able to do much since everything that happens in the series is up to the showrunners and the network.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8's release date is slated for Friday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
