'The Walking Dead' Air Date, Teaser Trailer Video: 'Surviving Together Is All That Matters' on Mid-Season Premiere

A recent teaser trailer for the hit show "The Walking Dead" showed the group of zombie apocalypse survivors focusing their minds on how to survive together. The hit show is due to return after its mid-season hiatus on Feb. 8 at its usual 9/8c Sunday night slot on A.M.C.

The main theme for the upcoming second half of Season 5 of "The Walking Dead" was heard being narrated by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in a voiceover during the trailer. He said, "surviving together is all that matters." Only his voice was heard in the trailer which showed the gang moving through a foggy wood on foot and then shooting at zombies.

Almost all members of the gang were seen in the trailer. They include Daryl (Norman Reedus), Tyreese (Chad Coleman),Glenn (Steven Yeun), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Carol (Melissa McBride), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Tara (Alanna Masterson), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Rick.

While the action seemed to be taking place in a wooded area, many websites said what was shown might not be an actual scene from the series but just a representation of represented only the mental state of the group of survivors who were still reeling from the death of Beth (Emily Kinney) in a previous episode.

Some fans also pointed out that Carl (Chandler Riggs) was missing from the trailer and that this could be significant.

As for the new characters appearing in the upcoming episodes, eagle-eyed fans pointed out that Negan could be introduced soon because a poster for the show features a building with smokestacks in the distance.

In the comics on which the "The Walking Dead" is based on, the compound where Negan stays has a building with smokestacks and is enclosed with a fence where the heads of walkers have been placed on spikes.

While there is no official word yet on the arrival of Negan on the show, Undeadwalking has stated that the survivors could stray into his territory during the upcoming episodes and meet him just before the season ends.
