2017 Honda Odyssey release date, specs, price: Popular minivan now available to purchase for $30,750
Honda has announced that the fourth-generation Odyssey will be returning for 2017. According to Honda, the Odyssey has been one of the most popular minivans in America since 2010. For the new model year, Honda has introduced more features that enhance the entertainment and convenience of passengers.
The 2017 Honda Odyssey comes in six trims: LX, EX, SE, EX-L, Touring and Touring Elite.
All models are powered by a 3.5-liter 24-valve V6 engine that delivers 248 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The minivan also comes with Variable Cylinder Management to further maximize fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. The powertrain is able to produce class-leading EPA fuel-economy ratings of 19 miles per gallon (mpg) during city driving, 27 mpg during highway driving and 22 mpg during combined driving.
For 2017, the SE and EX-L trims will be able to avail of an acoustic windshield for the minivan. Higher trims also gain access to new features such as Rear Entertainment System, Forward Collision Warning, Sirius XM Radio and a HondaVAC in-vehicle vacuum cleaner.
Honda's popular minivan is able to carry eight passengers making it an ideal vehicle for families. To ensure the safety of those inside, Honda has equipped the Odyssey with active safety features like Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control, Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake Distribution, Brake Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Daytime Running Lights and Rearview Camera with Guidelines. There is also a comprehensive air bag system as well as active head restraints for the driver and front passenger.
The 2017 Honda Odyssey LX comes with a starting price of $29,850. The EX and SE trims are priced at $33,000 and $33,950, respectively. Meanwhile, customers will be able to purchase the Odyssey EX-L for $36,500, the Odyssey Touring for $42,755 and the Touring Elite for $45,325. All prices mentioned will incur an additional $900 destination charge.
The 2017 Honda Odyssey is now available at dealerships just in time for the holidays.
