Adele gets flak for comparing Beyoncé with Jesus Christ
Multi-Grammy awardee Adele has lately come under fire after she compared singer Beyoncé to Jesus Christ.
"How is it even possible that she only ever get better? How is that possible?" said Adele during a concert in Copenhagen, Denmark. "She is Jesus [expletive] Christ, Jesus [expletive] Christ."
"Beyoncé is the sickest artist around in the whole entire world; it's unbelievable," the "Hello" singer added. "I've been listening to her for 17 years, and she's still making music that blows my mind."
Adele was reportedly admiring Beyoncé's new album titled "Lemonade," which was released last month. It has an accompanying visual album that was shown on HBO, which, according to The Christian Post, tackles a wide range of issues like denial, anger, forgiveness, hope, and redemption, among other things. There are scenes of prayer, the devil, God, and others, that reportedly alluding to cheating and betrayal and basically what is said to be happening in Beyoncé's marriage with rapper Jay-Z.
Adele also said in a post on Instagram that the pop icon is the most inspiring person she "had the pleasure of worshipping."
"I'm not late on this I've just been speechless," she wrote. "Beyonce is the most inspiring person I've ever had the pleasure of worshipping. Her talent, beauty, grace and work ethic are all in a league of their own. I appreciate you so much! Thank god for Beyoncé X"
This has not been taken lightly by some of her fans. One said that while she loves Beyoncé, calling her Jesus Christ is simply unacceptable. Others reminded her that she should not worship any human. Several have called her idol worship disgusting and pathetic.
