"Agent Carter" was cancelled by ABC after merely two seasons on the network. Fans and stars of the show believe though that there is more life to be had from the series.

With the recent Disney deal with Netflix, the streaming giant has become the platform of choice for anything Disney. This development is seen as the light at the end of the tunnel by "Agent Carter" enthusiasts hoping for a pick up by the platform. So far, there has been no word of a season 3 possibility with Netflix or any other network, despite fans petitioning for a renewal.

In the meantime, stars from the show, Hayley Atwell and Dominic Cooper, remain optimistic that a season 3 for the show is coming up. In fact, Atwell has expressed that she is more than willing to do anything to bring the series back. She has indicated her interest in reprising her role as the smart and badass Peggy Carter.

She recently took to Twitter to share her sentiment: "Netflix: YES 100%. I love Peggy. I love the people working on this project. A privilege and an honor to bring her back to the fans."

Atwell has even gone as far as to say that she would work weekends just to have that opportunity to play the female lead of the show. This is clearly in consideration of her newest sign-up for the film "Conviction."

Another star from the show, Cooper, who plays Howard Stark, also had his say about a season 3 renewal for "Agent Carter."

He was asked about the possibility of a pick up by streaming platforms and responded by telling the Evening Standard "I have no idea. I thought it was a great show, and I think it was wonderful that they were prepared to spend the amount of money on, essentially, a drama set in that era."

But he also said of Carter and Stark, "I think those characters are really exciting to watch."

Cooper said that he is definitely not over playing Stark and that he enjoys being the character as he is "great fun."
