'Agents of SHIELD' season 4 spoilers, plot news: Daisy goes full-on vigilante, shuts off loved ones
"Agents of SHIELD" season 4 will begin six months after the events of the third season, and even after all this time, Daisy (Chloe Bennet) is yet to make peace with the death of her boyfriend Lincoln (Luke Mitchell).
Ever since he died, Daisy has been closed off and stayed away from the people she cares about to make sure they do not share the same fate as Lincoln.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bennet spoke about her decision to get away from "Agents of SHIELD" season 4 and how it affects the people she loves in.
"I know her intentions are to do right by her team by distancing herself from them," the actress said. "But she's actually hurting them and I don't think she's making the right decisions," she admitted.
Despite this, Daisy will still continue to be the hero to helpless people she always was in "Agents of SHIELD" season 4, thus taking on a vigilante life under the name Quake.
In an interview with TVLine, she said that she is becoming "more of a vigilante than maybe she would like" in the new season of "Agents of SHIELD" and that she is still trying to do good.
"She really becomes Quake because of the past she's had and the loss she's dealing with. It's not perfect," Bennet explained, adding that she is aiming for that reparation for losing Lincoln.
However, Daisy won't be in rogue mode for the whole "Agents of SHIELD" season 4. "You'll definitely see her trying her best to rogue but I don't think that will last very long or who will come in her way and change things up for her," Bennet said.
It goes without saying that Daisy will also shy away from romance this season. After the death of Lincoln, there's only so much loss she could take.
"Agents of SHIELD" season 4 will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
