AMD Vega 10 GPU Radeon RX 490 release date news 2016: Company teases fans with its nearing release
The American multinational semiconductor company, AMD has recently teased fans of a possible 2016 launch of their much awaited Vega GPU. According to reports, the upcoming graphics technology could power the highly anticipated Radeon RX 490, which was earlier leaked by the company.
The company had already released three graphics cards that carry the AMD Polaris 10 and 11 GPUs. Although Radeon RX 480, RX 470 and RX 460 are not as powerful as NVIDIA latest Pascal GPU, many fans opted to get them because they significantly have lower prices. Tech people see a huge upgrade of AMD Polaris GPUs from the previous generations. What's interesting is that the price difference between the new and old GPU technologies is almost the same.
There are reports suggesting that the new AMD Vega technology will start with Radeon RX 490. The new graphics card is definitely a good alternative for fans who do not want to spend more on NVIDIA's Titan X, GTX 1080 and GTX 1070. There is no question that the NVIDIA lineup is more powerful than the upcoming Radeon RX 490; however, consumers will have to spend several hundred dollars more if they decide to get the ones from NVIDIA.
According to Guru3D.com, the new Radeon RX 490, which will be powered by Vega 10 GPU, could come out early next year. According to the publication, the company has supposedly revealed the event on a social media site. Apparently, it was Chris Hook, AMD's senior director for global marketing and public relations, who posted the photo on Facebook.
Meanwhile, Legit Reviews reported that AMD Vega Radeon RX 490 might be released earlier than expected. There are speculations suggesting that the graphics card could arrive before the year 2016 ends. However, this has yet to be confirmed by the company.
