In the effort of staying true to its source material, the "American Gods" television series will bring to the screen even the most explicit scenes in Neil Gaiman's award-winning book of the same name.

Showrunner Bryan Fuller is not looking to exclude these certain parts of the book even if they are challenging to translate in television.

This means that even the strangest sex moments in the story, which people who read the book will certainly be familiar with and might even be wondering if they will make it to "American Gods," will be included.

"We have so many visual effects that involve digital erections," Fuller revealed during an interview with  Ain't It Cool News. Computer-generated imagery is used in films and TV shows alike. The infamous walk of shame in "Game of Thrones" made use of the technology.

"We have conversations, 'well, should we get [a] dildo and strap it onto the actors, is that going to be more cost effective? Or is it easier just to give them digital erections?" he continued.

Inverse pointed out that Starz, the network where "American Gods" will be aired, will not have problems with such, especially looking at shows like "Outlander" and "Spartacus," which featured nudity with male and female characters alike.

In fact, "American Gods" goes bold by depicting in its pilot episode the scene from the book involving "death by orgasm" as how the aforementioned site refers to.

With all that said, fans of Gaiman's book will be happy to know that the "American Gods" series will be faithful to its source material.

The show already received praises for keeping the racial makeup of the cast, which Gaiman revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con was the one thing that he wanted to see on the show.

"American Gods" will only have nine episodes in its first season when it airs on Starz next year.
