'American Horror Story' season 6 spoilers: New hair-raising clips tease next season horror
Sinister is a mild word to describe the "American Horror Story" season 6 teasers released recently. Details regarding the upcoming installment have been kept under wraps. In the video, though, a lot was offered up to posit some arguments on what the next season will bring.
Top of the list that avid fans are trying to figure out is the theme for the new season. Every season features a different theme. The last season followed "Hotel."
While there have been many speculations that the upcoming theme will focus on the Antichrist or other theories relating to creepy children, the most recent clues from the teasers go every which way that it may have become a greater challenge to unravel the mystery.
The fan-compiled video out of the Snapchat teaser release opens with a view of a hanging mobile, definitely not a human child-friendly one, what with a knife and other sharp metal objects dangling over the crib where a baby can be heard crying. A hand that was not a wee baby's shoots up to get hold of the knife.
Another sequence plays where a woman rushes down a staircase lit with a dingy light. Nearing the bottom of the stairs, a hand grabs hold of her ankles. The next one shows the top of a woman's head, clearly Lady Gaga's, where a centipede inches across as she looks up to show eyes with a green glow.
Still another scene unfolds depicting this time what appears to be a family with hands linked, walking towards the camera as the day fades, their eyes aglow -- a picture reminiscent of "Village of the Damned."
Next comes a scene featuring a man who has the crown of his bald head stapled with a question mark and a number six side by side, after which the one with the stapler leaves with the parting shot, "try to keep it dry."
The final clip depicted from afar a farmhouse from which black smoke shaped like a question mark was rising. The sounds of a chainsaw and a woman's scream follow.
Fans have suggested that the next theme may connect with "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," "The Hills Have Eyes," and "Rosemary's Baby." Some believe the hand from the crib was Michael's, from season 1.
As another bout of postulation continues, it is noted that "The American Horror Story" season 6 will begin airing Sept. 14 on Fox.
